Ask an extra question when a particular answer is given
Use a follow-up question when one answer needs more detail. For example, if the answer to "Is the fridge working?" is No, ask "What action have you taken?".
- Open the checklist's questions page (Edit questions) and edit the first question.
- Click Add answer actions, then Add action.
- Under If answer is, choose the answer that should trigger the follow-up. For number questions, set If answer below and or above instead.
- Under Take the following action, choose Follow-up question.
- Save the question. On the questions page, click Add follow-up question under that action and write the follow-up question.
The follow-up question only appears to staff when the chosen answer is given.
To show or hide questions based on an answer to a question further up the checklist, or on the time of day, use question conditions instead.
